Ron Wilson has been an active contributing member of the QuadifyRC Facebook community and a master experimenter with creative solutions like the Floating Driveshaft Mod for the WLToys platform. You can probably consider him a 1/12 and 1/14 scale RC fanatic with his impressive collection of WLToys and LC Racing cars that we can hopefully do another future feature on. Here's a little about Ron's 124018 build: Where are you from? Kansas city, MO. USA Favourite place to race/brash/drive? Up and down the street and through the front yard Preferred places/websites to source parts? WarrenRC (LC racing parts), Amazon. Ebay Favourite mod/upgrade on the car? Brushless motor with 15T pinion really makes all the difference. Future plans for the car? Floating drive shaft mod, maybe try some other 2845 or 2850 motors with more torque and lower to the 15T pinion Ron's WL Toys 124018 gives off a strong 90's vibe with the bright neon green and yellow paint scheme and racing decals. A little change of colour goes a long way to completely transform the way the car looks and the larger sized wheels give it an appropriately aggressive stance. There is a meticulousness to the detail in the customisation and the choice of accessories that accentuate the original car's scale body lines and curves. Not to mention, with a measured top speed of 42 mph, has the performance to back up the striking looks. Once going to the 88mm tires and wheels it makes the car look larger and more to scale. The drive line in this car and the 124019 feel smoother to me over the 144001 I'm not sure if its the longer scale or the drive line is more polished but it seems smoother. The top LED lights make the car fun to run at dusk and the 2 driver figures make the car more life like.
